I hail from the Midwest and currently live in Portland, OR. I am co-editor of Shirley Magazine, co-organizer of the Queen of the Night Reading Series, and a recipient of an Oregon Literary Arts Fellowship, among other awards/honors. In 2010 I received my BFA in Painting and Creative Writing from the Kansas City Art Institute; in 2014 I received my MFA in Creative Writing (Fiction) from Portland State University.

I find my processes for writing, quilting, and collaging to be strikingly similar; always have an iron in the fire; look forward to cronehood.
